Tortus Workshop - Bangalore 7th & 8th

Service Description

This special TORTUS 2 day workshop hosted by The Potter's Place is open to all levels. In the mornings you will be given a thorough introduction to the techniques that Eric Landon uses to get most out of the clay with a focus on efficiency and precision at the wheel. The workshop is hands-on where you will be practicing the techniques under the guidance and supervision from Eric himself. He will also be giving many demos throughout the two day workshop. The workshop is open level but we recommend that you have completed the basic level of wheel throwing and have experience throwing with above 2 kgs of clay to get more benefits from his teachings. Eric Landon makes numerous vessel types giving a unique and comprehensive look at the unique approach and techniques he applies at the wheel to make his larger and more complicated vessels. The workshop will cover a series of more advanced larger scale vessels, including a moon jar, and focus on fine-tuning your hand and body movement to help centre and manage larger amounts of clay with less effort. This workshop is not recommended for beginners. The Workshops will be taught in English
